River Banks Madapparambil Resort

Extremely disappointing experience – one of the worst stays I have ever had. I booked an Executive Room through Agoda expecting a decent and comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was so disappointing that we had to leave within just a few hours. We checked in at around 3:00 PM. Immediately after entering the room, we noticed a strong, unpleasant cockroach-like smell. We requested an air freshener, but instead of simply arranging one, we were asked to provide cash so they could purchase it. The TV was also not functioning properly, with the channels unavailable. We contacted reception and requested assistance, but the service experience continued to be disappointing. Later, we requested cold drinking water, only to be informed that they do not serve cold water bottles. What was supposed to be a comfortable stay turned into an extremely unpleasant experience. Within approximately 2½ hours of checking in, at around 5:30 PM, we decided to check out because of the poor room condition and lack of satisfactory service. I have stayed at many hotels and resorts, but this was certainly among my worst hospitality experiences. The basic expectations of cleanliness, room maintenance and guest service were simply not met. Very disappointed with the experience at Madapparambil Resorts, Muvattupuzha. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.
