Uravappara View Point 2 is a beautiful and relatively lesser-known viewpoint near Uravappara, Thodupuzha. The location offers a peaceful hilltop experience with impressive views of the surrounding hills, valleys and greenery. It is especially beautiful during the monsoon and in the evening when the landscape gets a completely different feel. One of the interesting aspects of this location is its proximity to the quarry area that is commonly associated with the famous quarry scene from the Malayalam movie Drishyam, involving Varun’s car. The quarry setting is particularly interesting for movie enthusiasts and adds a cinematic connection to an otherwise scenic location. The film’s story itself places the quarry pond in Mullassery, beyond Thodupuzha. The quarry now has an abandoned/quiet feel, with the large rocky excavation and water-filled sections creating a striking landscape. There is also a fish-farming-related facility visible in the surrounding area, adding to the local character of the place. Important safety point: the quarry has steep drops and the walking space around some sections is narrow. During the monsoon, the rocks can become extremely slippery. Visitors should stay well away from the edges, avoid climbing unstable rocks and never attempt to enter the quarry water. This is not a place where taking a photograph is worth risking your safety. Uravappara View Point 2 is currently listed separately on Maps as a tourist attraction, with the main Uravappara View Point and the Uravappara Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple nearby. Uravappara View Point 2 Uravappara View Point Uravappara Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple, Thodupuzha A worthwhile stop if you’re exploring Uravappara, particularly for people interested in nature, viewpoints and Malayalam cinema locations. Just explore responsibly, respect private property and prioritise safety around the quarry. 🌿⛰️🎬
