2 weeks agoI recently visited St. Mary's Hospital, Thodupuzha, with my mother for an endoscopy procedure. While the doctors and medical staff may be doing their best, I was disappointed with the management of the endoscopy department. There is a notice displayed outside the endoscopy room stating that there will be no regular OP consultations on endoscopy days. However, during our visit, regular OP consultations were still being conducted. This resulted in endoscopy patients waiting for several hours. For endoscopy procedures, patients are required to remain fasting without food, which makes long waiting periods even more difficult, especially for elderly patients. Many patients and their attendants were left waiting outside for an extended time without proper communication about delays. After reading Google reviews, I noticed that several other patients have raised the same concern, which suggests that this is not an isolated incident. I kindly request the hospital management to: • Follow the policy mentioned on the notice board or clearly explain any changes to patients. • Implement a proper appointment and queue management system. • Inform patients about expected waiting times and delays. • Give priority to fasting endoscopy patients, particularly senior citizens and those with medical conditions. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that necessary improvements are made to provide a better experience for patients and their families.

3 weeks agoIt's a good hospital in Thodupuzha by all accounts, but there is a situation where a bystander has to go to buy food for someone who is in casualty. Try to avoid even the canteen. Be careful.
