5 months agoVery disappointing and upsetting experience. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES AND LADIES!!!! We stayed at Cascade Inn, Munnar for 2 nights with our family and kids, and the stay was not comfortable at all. From the beginning, when we asked about complimentary breakfast, the staff replied very rudely saying there was no food service. After entering the room, we found that no drinking water and no towels were provided, and the geyser was not working. The rooms have no soundproofing, and we could clearly hear people talking and other disgusting noise from the next room and the floor below. On the day of checkout, the staff was rude and appeared drunk. When we requested hot water for bathing, they refused and blamed us, saying all other rooms had hot water. During checkout, instead of addressing our complaints, the reception staff and room boy used abusive words in Malayalam and accused us of trying to leave without paying, which was extremely humiliating, especially in front of others. The owner was also rude and only told us to pay and leave without listening to our concerns. Because of the lack of hot water and poor service, we were delayed and left the hotel around 10:30 AM, missed breakfast, and our entire sightseeing plan was disturbed. We paid ₹4,000 per day and were treated with complete disrespect. This place lacks basic hospitality and is not recommended at all.
